Getting Started
What is TradersCompanion?
TradersCompanion is a trade journaling platform that helps you import, review, and analyse your trade history. You can track performance metrics, write journal entries per trade, and identify patterns in your trading behaviour.
Is TradersCompanion free?
TradersCompanion offers both free and paid plans. Our free plan includes core features for basic trade tracking. Paid plans unlock advanced analytics, extended data retention, priority support, and additional features. Check our pricing page for full details.
Do I need to connect my broker account?
No. TradersCompanion works entirely via CSV import — you export a trade history file from your broker and upload it. We never request API keys, broker logins, or direct exchange access.
Importing Trades
Which brokers and exchanges are supported?
We support trade exports from TradingView, Binance, Bybit, Kraken, OKX, Coinbase, Bitget, MEXC, KuCoin, eToro, Pepperstone, Interactive Brokers, and MetaTrader (4 & 5). We also accept custom CSV files — you can map your columns during import.
How do I import my trades?
Go to the Import section in your dashboard, select your broker from the list, download your trade history CSV from your broker, and upload it. The import wizard will preview your data before adding it to your journal.
My broker is not in the list. Can I still import?
Yes. Use the "Custom CSV" option. You'll be able to map each column (date, symbol, side, quantity, price, fees) to the correct field. You can save your mapping as a template for future imports.
Can I import the same file twice?
Duplicate detection is built in. If a trade with the same ID, date, symbol and side has already been imported, it will be skipped automatically.
Journal & Analytics
What metrics does TradersCompanion track?
We track win rate, average R:R, profit factor, expectancy, max drawdown, average hold time, trade frequency, best and worst trading days/sessions, and more. All metrics update automatically when you import new trades.
Can I write notes on individual trades?
Yes. Each trade has a journal entry where you can write a free-text review, add tags, rate your execution, and mark whether you followed your trading plan.
Can I create custom fields for my trades?
Yes. Under Settings → Custom Fields you can add any extra data points you want to track per trade — for example "news event", "session", "pattern", or any label meaningful to your strategy.
Is my trade data private?
Yes. Your trade data is only visible to you. We do not use it for any purpose other than displaying it back to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Account & Billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — no prorated refunds, no hidden fees.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data within 30 days. Backup copies in disaster recovery are purged within 90 days.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Paddle and PayPal. Payments are processed securely — we never store your card details.
