1. What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a specially tracked URL that identifies TradersCompanion as the referring party when you visit a third-party website. If you then complete a qualifying action — such as creating an account or making a deposit — TradersCompanion may receive a commission from that third party.
You pay nothing extra. The commission, if any, comes entirely from the third party's own marketing budget and does not affect the price, terms, or service you receive.
2. Legal Requirements
Under EU law — including the Directive on Digital Services (DSA), the EU Omnibus Directive, and the Dutch Wet handhaving consumentenbescherming — we are required to clearly disclose any commercial relationship before you click a link that may result in compensation for us. We comply with this requirement by:
- Displaying a banner at the top of every page that contains affiliate links.
- Labelling each individual affiliate button with an #ad indicator.
- Including a disclosure paragraph in the footer of the relevant page.
- Maintaining this dedicated policy page that you can access at any time.
3. Which Partners Do We Work With?
At the time of writing, TradersCompanion has an affiliate relationship with:
- MEXC Global — a cryptocurrency exchange registered in the Seychelles. Our affiliate link directs you to
promote.mexc.com/b/traderscompanion. If you create a verified account via this link, MEXC may pay us a revenue-share commission based on your trading fees.
We will update this list whenever we add or remove a partner. We do not endorse platforms solely because they offer an affiliate programme; we only promote services we believe are genuinely useful to traders.
4. Our Editorial Independence
Affiliate compensation does not influence our reviews, feature comparisons, or recommendations. If we believe a competing product is better for a specific use case, we will say so — regardless of whether we earn anything from it.
We are a trading journal and analytics tool, not a broker comparison service. Any partner we promote is featured because it is widely used by the traders in our community, not because of the size of the commission.
5. Risk Warning
Cryptocurrency trading involves significant risk. The value of digital assets can fall as well as rise, and you may lose more than your initial investment. Nothing on any TradersCompanion page constitutes financial advice or a recommendation to trade any specific asset. Always do your own research and, if in doubt, consult a qualified financial adviser.
6. Data Shared With Partners
When you click an affiliate link, the destination website can see that you arrived via our tracking URL. No personal data stored on TradersCompanion (such as your name, email, or trade history) is shared with affiliate partners. Any data collected by the partner after you land on their site is governed solely by their own privacy policy.
